This delightful 6 room hotel, set in a pretty garden of lemon trees and flowering bougainvillea, is just a ten minute walk from the main piazza in Amalfi (an uphill walk!) The Villa is in a quiet spot but overlooks the entire ancient maritime republic, a fascinating place full of narrow streets and alleys and big squares. The Villa was originally built in the 18th century and has been tastefully renovated to include modern bathrooms and facilities such as internet access, phone, television and air conditioning. The rooms are very attractive with typical majolica tiles, vaulted ceilings, rich colours and antiques and the bathrooms have hairdryer and bathrobe. Only breakfast is served at the Villa but there are many small restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff are attentive and helpful, and can help you plan excursions along the Amalfi coast. Parking can be provided at about 16 euros/night.

The breakfast is served from 8.00 am to 10.30 on the panoramic terrace.
Notes The closest airport is Naples (50 km) and you can get a bus from there to Amalfi. Buses also run from Sorrento to Amalfi. There is a train from Rome to Naples to Salerno and then bus from Salterno to Amalfi.

Nello, the manager, was attentive, informative and entertaining. Everything was clean, and the view is fantastic!
Didn't Like:
The "parking service" provided by the hotel. The individual who took charge of our car drove like a maniac - and although we can't prove it - there was a big scrape on the passenger side of the car when we got it back that we don't recall being there when when we picked it up from Avis in Naples.”
