The Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi is an 18th century country mansion with a private chapel, a guest lodge and a fully restored medieval farmhouse (now equipped with a swimming pool, solarium, workout studio and sauna). It is located high above the Tronto valley and has an exceptional view from the Sibylline Mountains across to the peak of the Gran Sasso and down to the Adriatic, ten kilometres away. The beautiful gardens were designed in 1875 by Ludwig Winter, famous landscape gardener and botanist. The owners have looked after the estate for several generations and are helpful and delightful hosts. The spacious bedrooms, all ensuite, are classically decorated with antiques and soft furnishings. Dinner is available, if ordered in advance, and the kitchen uses produce freshly picked from the garden: the cost including pre-dinner drinks, 3 course dinner, local wines, coffee and liqueurs is approximately 50 euros per person. The historic wine cellar provides the two D.O.C. of the region - Rosso Piceno and Falerio. The inn participates in the Le Marche Segrete program which offers special tours to properties normally closed to the public.There are some special rates for July and August in both the Relais Villa and Residenza San Pancrazio. Notes Pool open from 1 April to 30 October. Dinner may be ordered in advance. In Ascoli Piceno, 8 km. away, Visit the polyptych of Crivelli, Piazza del Popolo with historic Caffe Meletti and the Roman Area. In September the Ascoli Peceno Music Festival is not to be missed. Please note that there is air conditiong in the accommodations other than in the Villa which has ceiling fans.
