Villa Il Patriarca started its life as an 1800's prestigious patrician house, and it is now a wonderful example of a sensitive restoration into a first class small hotel. Located in the heart of Italy, approximately midway between Rome and Florence in the part of Tuscany well known for its wonderful wines, Etruscan artefacts, excellent cuisine, olive oil and its history of exceptional art. Set in a park of large cypresses, the hotel has just 23 rooms, each uniquely and comfortably decorated. Eight of the rooms are in the Villa and others are in a recently restored wing with elegant and romantic furniture, bright colours and interesting themes. There are several categories of rooms: standard, superior, junior suites and suites (two dedicated to Federico Fellini and his wife who were often guests at the hotel in the past). The Restaurant 'I Salotti' has been awarded a Michelin Star in every year since 2003. Its Noble Tuscan Cuisine reflects the perfect balance between tradition and innovation, and is made with the best local produce. A prestigious wine cellar with over 1000 labels adds to its attraction. A new taverna offering local specialties has recently been opened in the antique cellar. There is a luxurious swimming pool in the garden, where light lunches can be served. The hotel staff can arrange winetasting in the local wineries, guided tours, and cooking classes.

Rating: Excellent “(No Comment)” Rating: Excellent “(No Comment)” Rating: Very Good “Lovely people. Beautiful restraurant with fabulous food. Rooms very pretty. TV did not work and wasn't fixed. Shopping center being built accross the street. No noise but spoils one of the views.” Rating: Very Good “Liked: The hotel is conveniently locatedand close to Chiusi, which is a sleeper. well worth seeing. It is best to reserve a room in the wing with a view of the forests and fields. The views are amazing. Liked: The hotel is conveniently locatedand close to Chiusi, which is a sleeper. well worth seeing. It is best to reserve a room in the wing with a view of the forests and fields. The views are amazing. Didn't Like: Unfortunately, some one had the ghastly idea to put a cinema with sixteen shows across the street from this magnificent place. The views on each side mean too much for it to be compromised in this way...
