Hotel Vannucci is located in the heart of the historic centre of Umbria, near the Tuscany border, in Città della Pieve - close to both the train station of Chiusi-Chianciano Terme (8km) and the Autostrada del Sole (17km). Siena, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Todi and Montepulciano can be reached by car within thirty to sixty minutes (and Lake Trasimeno is just twenty minutes away). There are shops, restaurants and markets within minutes of the hotel. The hotel has been recently restored and features traditional Umbrian design with modern elements. There are thirty luxury guestrooms decorated with rich fabrics, hand-crafted furniture and personal touches. Some rooms have private balcony and views over the courtyard or garden. Hotel Vannucci’s two restaurants specialise in Umbrian/Tuscan cuisine and use only the freshest, seasonal ingredients, supplied by local producers. There is a choice between gourmet and casual dining both indoors and al fresco. The hotel has a well-equipped gym, jacuzzi and sauna, in an appealing marble setting. The staff are particularly friendly and helpful and will be pleased to suggest outings and special places to visit. The town has its own palio - and the hotel provides a wonderful vantage point from which to watch this traditional event.
