In high season the apartments are rented by the week, Saturday to Saturday. If you rent an apartment for only five or six nights in high season the weekly price applies. In mid and low seasons the apartments rent for a minimum of three. Villa Rosa dei Venti is situated in beautiful countryside near Cortona and within easy reach of the medieval town of Cortona and Montecchio Vesponi Castle. It is a good starting point for touring Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. On the grounds are vineyards, olive groves, sunflowers and melons - a delightful outlook - and a good opportunity to sample the house's own wines and olive oil. The property has been under the stewardship of the Micheli family since 1900 and members of that family still warmly welcome guests to their Villa and farm. The property has three spacious self-catering apartments and two cottages. Each apartment has its own outdoor space where you can enjoy alfresco meals. There is a pleasant swimming pool in the grounds. The apartments are suitable for two, four or six guests and are fully equipped with cooking facilities, fridge, satellite television, vacuum cleaner, hairdryer -- anything you will need for a relaxing stay. There are washing machines, barbecue and mountain bikes for guest use. There are extra charges for frequent changes of linen, for firewood, heating and for final cleaning. Note that in high season weekly stays are mandatory.

30% deposit required upon booking the balance has to be paid at the check in time. If a reservation is cancelled from the time of making the booking to 51 days prior to arrival the hotel will charge 50% of the total booking. If cancelled 51 to 30 days prior to arrival 70% of the total amount of the booking will be charged. If cancelled 30 days or less prior to arrival or in case of no show, the total amount of the booking will be charged.

Barbara and Stephano were incrediable. They were cheerfully helpful and seemed to actually care. (We had some less wonderful expriences elsewhere in our trip.)
The apt was roomy, nice linens and spotless. The location in the middle of the farm land suited us to a tee. Very relaxed, but close to everything.
Didn't Like:
The only little thing is that my husband would have appreciated some very basic condiments in the apt. Salt, pepper and maybe a little sugar for coffee/tea. We didn't mind shopping for coffee and all the rest.”
