Just ten minutes walk from S.M.Novella rail station is this elegant 1920's townhouse with garden, which has been masterfully restored into a small, discreet and relaxing little pied-a-terre in central Florence. All the delightfully-decorated rooms are ensuite and have t.v., air conditioning or ceiling fan. In the room there is a kettle and little tray with a pastry for a do-it-yourself breakfast. There is a lift to each level of the hotel for those who have difficulty with stairs. There is a reception desk with very helpful staff. We highly recommend the Johanna and the Johlea as affordable and very pleasant places to stay in Florence.

“our rooms were very clean, the concierge quite helpful, but it was really loud, on a very busy street. Also, very difficult to find the airport the trip took 45 minutes, not 20!”
