There is a 3 night minimum over Christmas. The Villa, and the surrounding park, date back to the 18th century. The gracious building has been meticulously restored maintaining many of the original features -- wood beams, brick floors, hand-made ceramics--and the pleasant high-ceilinged guestrooms are spacious, comfortable and bright (with large modern bathrooms). There are double, triple and quadruple rooms. Breakfast is served in a separate little house or on the terrace in summer. The Villa Maya has a very pleasant, relaxed feel to it and the hosts speak excellent English and are most helpful. There are many restaurants serving Tuscan food close to the hotel. Set in the countryside of the Pisan hills, within an easy drive of the airport (about 15 minutes), it is a quiet and pretty base from which to explore the local attractions. A taxi from the airport is about 30 euros.

Notes Check-in/Check-out: around 11 a.m. Special Christmas stay (3 day min) with special lunch. Perfect location for weddings. Small retreats can be arranged.
