This Hotel requires a minimum stay of 3 nights. The hotel Aurora was built at the beginning of the last century, on the edge of Lake Como. For many decades it has been run by the Gregorio family who are enthusiastic and friendly hoteliers. A water-ski school run by the Gregorio sons (world champion speed water skiers) is a major attraction, and boats and kayaks of all descriptions can be rented for lazy afternoons on the lake. If you are a water sports enthusiast, this is the perfect place to stay. The rooms, all with compact bathrooms, have been recently refurbished and have television, telephone, and views over the lake or mountains. There is a garage and free parking for hotel guests. A simple and inexpensive hotel offering excellent, friendly hospitality and service. The restaurant has one of the best locations on Lake Como - afternoon and evening sun fill the restaurant and terrace until late into the evening. From this location you can watch the boats and water skiers while relaxing with a glass of something cold. Pizza, cooked in the hotel's special oven, is a speciality, as is fresh fish, and a table d'hote menu is also available. The hotel is about 6 km. from Bellagio, just opposite the Comacina Island and the Balbianello Peninsula.
Meal Information
Meals are served on the romantic terrace, directly on the lakeside. The menu includes: typical Italian dishes with homemade paste, and a full list of pizzaz made in traditional wood fired oven.
Notes Blue Week: 7 days full board with water skiing lessons included from 600 euros per person. Private solarium on the lake with beach beds and umbrellas. Water skiing at all levels, slalom, barefoot, figures, sliboard) Motor boats can be rented. Half board and full board also available.
