In the heart of the countryside and on the edge of Chianti Classico country, just 10 minutes drive from the Medieval village of Monteriggioni, is this expansive property with twelve very large rooms all with modern bathrooms. Set on more than 40 hectares of woods and olive trees, the original house was build in the 15th century (the original fireplaces are in some of the rooms). The owners have completely renovated, added to and refurbished the buildings and have added a swimming pool just 2 minutes walk from the rooms. The concept of the new inn was to provide a relaxing retreat-like setting where guests can enjoy art workshops, yoga, cooking classes - while being ideally located for visits to the many interesting towns of Tuscany. All of these options need to be arranged in advance and will take place depending on sufficient numbers. There are many festivals in the area throughout the year in the region. The restaurant is open all evenings for individuals and groups. There are village restaurants in Monteriggioni, and in Castellini in Chianti (14 km.) and Siena (10 km) This is a no-smoking property and good environmental management is practiced.
