In a 19th century building, constructed on a medieval site, some of the ancient stones have been re-used in its impressive restoration. Once a large farmhouse used by a tenant farmer in the service of the Counts Mancinelli Scotti of S. Vito whose summer residence is on a nearby hill. The building is in the Umbrian countryside on the slopes of the Amerino Navarese ridge, protected from the north winds, and on the route Via Consolare Flaminia that links Rome to the old Nequinium (now Narni). Rome can be reached in less than an hour. There are six self-catering mini-apartments for guest use. Simply decorated, but fully self-contained, they are: Giovanna: for two guests, one bedroom with matrimonial bed, small living room with kitchenette, bathroom. Carolina: 4 beds ( 1 double bed, 2 single bed sofas that can be joined, living room with kitchenette, intermediate floor, access area to the bathroom, bathroom. Francesca: 4 beds (1 double bed and 2 single bed sofas that can be joined) Living room with kitchenette, intermediate floor, access area to the bathroom. Celestina: 4 beds (1 double bed and 2 single bed sofas that can be joined) living room with kitchenette, intermediate floor, access area to the bathroom. Celeste: 4 beds (1 double bed and 2 single bed sofas that can be joined, Living room with kitchenette, intermediate floor, access area to the bathroom. Paola: 5 beds (1 double bed, 1 single bed and 2 single bed sofas that can be joined, Living room with kitchenette, bedroom, intermediate floor, access area to the bathroom. There is also a fireplace in this apartment. In the grounds there is a good sized swimming pool and there is a lovely reception room with a big fireplace. You can choose to have bed and breakfast: this consists of breakfast in the apartment, the daily tidying up of the apartment, the change of linen and towels every three days, the cleaning of the apartment at your arrival and departure and anyway every three days. The minimum stay is 2 nights, except some periods (such as Christmas, Easter, August etc. ) in which the shortest stay is 4 nights. Alternatively, you can rent an apartment on a completely self-catering basis (minimum period of one week). Please note that there is an extra charge for heating (7 euros/day) and for final cleaning if rented on a weekly basis (30, 40 or 50 euros depending on size of apartment). There are restaurants about 20 minutes drive from the apartments.
