Owned by the Casola family (who also have the Eden Roc Hotel in Sorrento) these delightful self-catering apartments are perfectly located for hiking the Via dei Dei. Four-hundred and fifty meters above sea level of the Amalfi Coast sits Nocelle - a pastoral village - a mountaintop paradise - home to Villa Degli Dei. Breathtaking beauty stretches as far as the eye can see - from the Faraglioni of Capri to the edge of the sea and down to the picturesque beach village of Positano. The owner was born in this home and his is one of the original families of Nocelle. Completely renovated in 2002, Villa Degli Dei offers accommodation with all modern comforts and conveniences, with an authentic old exterior. This lovely house has six apartments which are elegantly yet comfortably decorated, all equipped with a dining table and chairs and your own kitchen facilities - a small refrigerator, sink and two burner stovetop, complete with dishes - discreetly hidden away in an antique style armoire. Each room also offers air conditioning, heating, telephone, and satellite television with over 500 channels (including 20 English speaking channels). Some apartments have one bedroom (for two) and others have two bedrooms (for three or four people). This mountaintop paradise affords direct access to a world class hiking trail, the Sentieri Degli Dei (the path of the gods), which traverses eleven kilometers of awe-inspiring peaks reaching towards the heavens, while still being only a thirty minute ride down to Positano - a world famous resort town with restaurants, shopping , sunning and nightlife. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room. These are self-catering apartments.

If cancelled between 30 to 20 days prior to arrival, 1 nights stay charged by the hotel. If cancelled 19 to 10 days prior to arrival date 2 nights will be charged. If cancelled 9 to day of the arrival, or in case of no-show, 100% of stay charged. In case of early departures, full apartment rate will be charged for all the remaining days.

The friendliness of staff and good service. Loved the view from our room.Also appreciated the maid who loaned us her personal alarm clock and was always cheerful, and willing to help.
Didn't Like:
Would be helpful if it was easier to get ahold of staff as the Villa is on top of mountain 20 minutes drive from the hotel. While we were there the first evening the lights went out due to a storm and we had to search the desk drawer in entryway to find a phone as we didn't have one with us. However when we got ahold of the management lights were restored in a timely manner.” Rating: Excellent
