This is one of our favourite small hotels - it is professionally run, immaculately kept, aesthetically pleasing and very friendly. Located in the historical centre of the artistic centre of Pietrasanta, within easy driving distance of Pisa and Lucca. In a grand 16th century palazzo, formerly known as Barsanti-Bonetti, it is now a beautiful small hotel with ten luxury rooms and nine suites. The refurbishment of the palazzo has been beautifully done, preserving the frescoes and adding new interesting architectural elements. An extraordinary collection of contemporary art is displayed both in the public areas and bedrooms, thus creating a comfortable and exclusive ambiance. A pretty veranda and glazed conservatory open on to the small, enclosed garden. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and very comfortable, all with full bathrooms. The old town of Pietrasanta is a delight to discover: the town has many monuments, art studios, sculptors' studios, interesting restaurants and shops and has, for many years, been a well-kept secret among art aficionados. It is possible to arrange for a shuttle bus from Pisa airport (with advanced notice). There is a train from Pietrasanta station (2 minutes walk from the inn) to the start of the Cinque Terre walk. It can be difficult to find the hotel as there is a system of one way streets around Pietrasanta, but if you park in a public parking lot in the centre and walk to the hotel (or phone them), they will pick up your car and organize parking.
