La Locanda is located in the middle of the Chianti Classico area, in the Radda in Chianti county. In the surroundings are some of the most well-maintained Medieval towns and villages and, of course, wonderful wineries. It is a one hour drive to Florence, less than an hour from Siena and also within driving distance of S. Gimignano and Arezzo. It is a pretty house in the heart of the countryside with just seven romantic guest bedrooms, all comfortably decorated and with spacious modern bathrooms. Some rooms have terraces. Dinner is served on request every evening, except Sunday and Thursday, but there are other restaurants in the vicinity (in Volpaia or other small villages). The views are outstanding and the gardens very tranquil. The swimming pool, again with an exceptional view, is in a pleasant spot in the garden. The owners, Martina and Guido, speak excellent English and can give much helpful advice about local attractions and expeditions.

Dinner is served on monday, wednesady and friday at 8.15 pm, possibly on the terrace. Advanced reservation required. Menu is fixed price based on pasta, meat and vegetable and dessert. 35Eu.(without wine, best local producer selection is available).
