This very pretty hotel is located in Radda, one of the most picturesque villages in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region. Once the manor house of a major wine-producing estate, it has been restored and enhanced to an inn with 25 rooms in the main building, five suites and 10 rooms in an annex across the road, which overlooks the valley. The interiors of the building are a delight; bright, cosy and yet elegant with interesting artefacts and artworks. The guestrooms are furnished with antiques and have full bathrooms (and satellite television, telephone, air conditioning and hairdryers). The suites have jacuzzi bath and terraces with panoramic views. The wisteria covered terrace is used for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the summer months and there is a large heated swimming pool overlooking the vineyards. There are two restaurants connected with the Vignale, the Taverna in the main building and a renowned restaurant 300 metres walk away, also called Restaurant Vignale. In addition there is a wine-shop where winetasting can be organized. There are many small towns of cultural interest in the vicinity with castles and wineries, and golf at Ugolino (18 holes) is located south of Florence, 40 km.
