Hotel Celio is a delightful 20-room hotel with a lovely atmosphere, situated in the heart of 19th Century Rome, just a short walk from the Forum and the Colosseum. Built as a manor house in 1870, it has been recently restored with impeccable taste and elegance. The rooms are well equipped and attention has been paid to the smallest detail. The hospitality and helpfulness at this hotel is outstanding. The spacious rooms are each distinguished by a large fresco illustrating Renaissance themes, whether by Tiziano, Cellini or Michelangelo after whom the rooms are named. So instead of numbers, each room bears the name of prestigious artist, balancing art and elegance. The rooms are equipped with satellite and cable tv, videoplayer, safebox and minibar, air-conditioning and hair-dryer. The upper floors are equipped with Jacuzzis. The latest addition is a splendid suite overlooking the Colosseum. Hotel Celio also provides for its guests a pick-up service with limousine and chauffeur. The cost from Leonardo da Vinci Airport is 75 euros. Enjoy sunbathing on the roof garden, and take the delicious breakfast on the terrace or in your room. There is private parking in the hotel's garage.
Notes If you are arriving by train, from Stazione Termini you can easily reach us by taxi (for security reasons we suggest you use only official taxis recognisable by their white or yellow paint and the sign TAXI.) The ride will take from seven to ten minutes and the fare varies between 7 and 12 euros. Otherwise you could take Linea Blu (Blue Line) of the underground, getting off at the Metro Station called Colosseo. Hotel Celio is just 200 metres away.
