La Minervetta is a romantic small boutique hotel with just twelve lovely rooms (all with views over the Marina and the Gulf of Naples) within a ten minute walk of the centre of Sorrento. Its location on a cliff overlooking the Gulf is exceptional, and there is a private stairway that connects directly with the fishing village of Marina Grande (with restaurants and beaches). The twelve spacious rooms, all with modern bathroom, are lushly decorated and have air conditioning, hairdryer, safe, minibar, direct dial telephone, satellite television and Wi-fi. Some of the rooms have one big bed and others have twin beds, and four of the rooms have their own terrace. The spacious rooms have big windows and wonderful views and are decorated in bright Mediterranean colours; the furniture and art has been collected by the owners from around the world. A solarium and relaxing area with a wonderful view is a perfect spot to read a book, and there is also a large jacuzzi on the premises. Signora Adda and her son Marco, have done an excellent job of recreating this property that was once a restaurant, and they are now friendly and helpful hosts who will be pleased to advise you on the many sights to see in Sorrento and the surrounding areas of Capri, Ischi, Naples and Vesuvius. There is no formal restaurant here but it is possible to order a light lunch or dinner if arranged in advance. There are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance in Sorrento. There is also a bar and a delightful terrace where you may enjoy breakfast. Parking is available (but we feel it is preferable to be a pedestrian in this area - the traffic in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast can be a headache at times). You can rent a car from the front desk at the hotel.
Family Information
For babies between the ages of 0 and 2 there is no charge if they sleep in a cot or with their parents. For children between the ages of 3 and 12 there is an extra charge of Euro 50 during low and medium season and of Eur 80,00 for the addition of an extra bed or cot bed in high season.

If reservation is cancelled 40 or more days prior to arrival, the hotel will not charge a penalty. If cancelled from 39 to 20 days prior to arrival hotel will charge 50% of stay. If cancelled 19 days or less prior to arrival date, in case of early departure or no-show the entire stay will be charged by the hotel.
